Women's Ministry

Our mission is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to strengthen their relationships with other women, and evangelize women in our community. This mission will be the standard by which we measure and base all ministry and event decisions. Our goal is to live out the mission statement through these four pillars of ministry:

  • Study- We will provide women the opportunity to study God’s Word, through Bible study groups geared specifically to women. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every food work.”
  • Service- Women need opportunities to serve others. This builds unity, encourages growth, and develops relationships. 1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
  • Support – Women need safe places where they can find biblically-sound support. This is lived out when mature Christian women mentor other women who have recently come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ or those who are struggling to mature in Christ. Ecclesiastes 4:10 “For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”
  • Social- Women benefit from regularly meeting together with other believers. This will provide opportunities for Christian friendships to grow and mature. Hebrews 10:25 “Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Drawing from her own remarkable story of step-by-step faith, Lysa invites you to uncover the spiritually exciting life for which we all yearn. With her trademark wit and spiritual wisdom, Lysa will help you:

  • Learn how to make a Bible passage come alive in your devotional time.
  • Replace doubt, regret, and envy with truth, confidence, and praise.
  • Stop the unhealthy cycles of striving and truly learn to love who you are and what you’ve been given. Discover how to have inner peace and security in any situation. Sense God responding to your prayers.
  • The adventure God has in store for your life just might blow you away.

Books will be available for purchase, Sunday, January 6, 2019 from Sophia Bishop or Lee Ann Redding. As always, the Ladies Bible Study remains open to women of all ages and denominations so invite your neighbors and friends to join us in 2019!
