Women's Ministry

Our mission is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to strengthen their relationships with other women, and evangelize women in our community. This mission will be the standard by which we measure and base all ministry and event decisions. Our goal is to live out the mission statement through these four pillars of ministry:

  • Study- We will provide women the opportunity to study God’s Word, through Bible study groups geared specifically to women. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every food work.”
  • Service- Women need opportunities to serve others. This builds unity, encourages growth, and develops relationships. 1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
  • Support – Women need safe places where they can find biblically-sound support. This is lived out when mature Christian women mentor other women who have recently come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ or those who are struggling to mature in Christ. Ecclesiastes 4:10 “For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”
  • Social- Women benefit from regularly meeting together with other believers. This will provide opportunities for Christian friendships to grow and mature. Hebrews 10:25 “Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Women's Ministry Kick-off

The Women's Ministry will host a ministry fair for all ladies on Sunday, February 17, to introduce our approved events and activities planned for 2019. The event will also include a light lunch. This is your opportunity to get connected and to use your gifts in teaching, organizing, hospitality, music/worship, publicity, registration, encouragement, food, childcare, etc., by signing up to help with an event or activity. We look forward to seeing women of all ages, including the young ladies of the church, as we grow in faith and strengthen relationships with each other and with God.

Bible Study

The Ladies Bible Study meets on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm in the church basement. We will be studying from Lysa TerKeurst's book Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl. Ladies of all ages are encouraged to join us!

Women's Spring Conference

Saturday, April 6

Plans are underway for the Women's Spring Conference! Our special guest speaker will be Stacey Salsbery. Stacey is a writer, blogger, farmers' wife , and full-time mother of four.  Or as she likes to say, President of Home Operations.  Her favorite thing in the world, besides a morning cup of coffee and a good long run, is diving deep into God's word at deeperdevos.org.  Where she weekly give readers a challenging, yet practical, personal and let's just be honest, often humorous devotional with her unquenchable passion for the Scriptures.  Stacey has had her writing published by Proverbs 31 Ministries and (in)courage and is thankful beyond words for the ministry God has given her.
