Effective March 18, 2020

MSCC family, we are sorry to have to announce that we will be suspending all church activities for the next few weeks. Governmental restrictions have been placed on our gatherings as well as our travel, and so we feel that we must obey per Romans 13:1 (TLB):

Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there.

There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power.

This command applies when the government is not operating in opposition to God’s Word, and this is one of those instances. By doing our part in the effort to stop the virus from being spread, we believe that this is one way that we can love one another and our community. We will continue to do our best to evaluate things as more news comes to light.

In this very strange set of circumstances we find ourselves in, it becomes even more of a challenge to try and minister to one another. So we are asking for your help. As a family of God, please do your best to check in on one another. We also ask that if you become aware of a need, that you would contact your shepherd or the church office if you are not able to meet the need yourself.

During the time that we will not be able to meet, Matt and Ryan will post a video of some teaching from God’s Word. We will put a link to the video on the sermon page of the church’s website.  If you are not sure how to access this, please let us know and we will do our best to try and help.

We realize that this almost certainly means that we will be missing Easter Sunday, however we are planning to have an Easter celebration whenever we are able to come together again. We are all disappointed that we find ourselves in this situation, however we trust that God is going to use this time in history for His glory. Please pray for healing, and for God’s direction to be made evident in the world, nation, state, and in our little community. Love you all, and God bless.
